Frequently Asked Questions
We encourage you to contact us with any question that you may have.
Do I need a dance partner in order to take lesson?
No partner? No problem! We can teach individual students or couples.
What should I wear to a ballroom dance lesson?
It is most important that whatever you wear is comfortable and easy to move in. Some students dress up a little for class (think of what you would wear to go to dinner). Other students prefer athletic wear. It is totally up to you as long as what you wear is comfortable, safe to move in, and does not restrict your movement.
If you are considering taking lessons long-term, you may want to purchase a pair of ballroom/latin shoes. Please see us if you need help finding shoes to fit your dancing needs. You do not need dance shoes, but again, they are a good idea if you are planning on regularly dancing.
I have a wedding/event I would like to dance at. How soon should I start lessons?
You should start lessons as soon as possible. Dancing is an art and takes a long time to master. However, if you are starting late, no worries. We can help you to learn some basics in a short amount of time if there is a time-crunch.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash or check are preferred, but we also accept Venmo.
Are you willing to travel to teach lessons at a location that's more convenient for me?
Yes, we are willing to travel to most parts of CT, MA, or Rhode Island. We can teach lessons in your home if there's enough space and/or at your next event. We can come to your church, event hall, venue, etc. to teach a lesson. Contact us today to explore the possibility of us traveling to you!
Where are you located?
Most of our lessons are at Block 134, 134 Main Street, Putnam, CT. It's on the second floor. We also sometimes offer classes at other locations. See our Events page for more details on our upcoming events.
